Flat first, then the floor
A plank floor is only as good as what sits under it.
Once the carpet and pad come up we walk the subfloor. Loose screws driven. High spots sanded, low spots filled. Get that right and the floor is silent underfoot. Skip it and you hear it every day.

Picking a floor
Tell us the room and how it gets used. A mudroom with two dogs wants something waterproof with a hard wear layer. A bedroom can be softer and quieter. Not sure? We bring samples out and lay them where they are going, in your own light.
